La Cañada Elementary School 2nd-graders in Jennifer Loya’s class celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday by learning about him. As they read books about the leader, they took notes on some of his writings, including the “I Have a Dream” speech. Students made posters with intricate cutouts of his face and wrote a short biography about him.
