The La Cañada High School varsity baseball team closed the Anaheim Lion’s Tournament with a 4-1 loss against La Habra Sonora last week.
The Raiders pitching staff limited the Spartans to only four hits in the game. Tanner Barge led LCHS going 1-for-2 with an RBI. Graham Massimino scored La Cañada’s lone run, and Matthew Sox, Max Umland and Tai Walton contributed one hit.
Ryan Graves was dealt the loss on the mound after surrendering four runs on eight hits in six innings. The sophomore pitcher also fanned three batters.
The Spartans resumed Rio Hondo League play against Temple City on Wednesday. They will hit the road to take on San Marino this Friday, April 7, at 3:30 p.m.

Arcadia Rio Hondo Prep 0
The Rebels shut out host Arcadia Rio Hondo Prep, 9-0, in a Prep League game last Friday.
Rebel Thomas Kosakowski was stellar on the mound, allowing only four hits and walking four and striking out seven in six innings of work. Nick Davis pitched a perfect inning of relief and struck out two.
Jack Enzminger led Prep with a double, two RBIs and one run. Max Rosenfeld collected two hits and scored two runs, Brian Pipes was 2-for-4 with one run scored, Danny Chiarodit finished the game 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI, Bradley Noble finished with a hit and an RBI, Kosakowski collected a hit and scored once, and Kendall Kikkawa, Jeff Chan and Davis each scored a run.
Flintridge Prep (8-3 overall record, 2-1 in league) will travel to Palos Verdes to take on Chadwick in a league game on Wednesday, April 12.
Harvard-Westlake 8

The Golden Knights were unable to muster any offense against visiting Studio City Harvard-Westlake in an 8-0 loss at the Glendale Sports Complex on Tuesday.
St. Francis was limited to only two hits in the game. Senior Brandon Lewis collected both hits, and Patrick Dionisio stole a base.
Pitcher Hayden Byrnes was dealt the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and four walks in 3 1/3 innings.
The Golden Knights (3-12 overall, 3-5 in league) will look for revenge today as they travel to Studio City to take on the Wolverines in a league game at 3:30 p.m.
