The Towne Singers will present its spring concert “And the Winner Is…” featuring Oscar, Tony and Grammy-award winner songs on Saturday, May 13, at 5 p.m. at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center, located at 188 Campus Drive in Arcadia.
The concert will be filled with the nostalgia and beauty of 90 voices performing award-winning songs from the past 80 years. An orchestral ensemble, along with dance performances, will accompany the singers and video imagery highlights the musical repertoire. Each song winner will be revealed through envelopes opened by the lively Master of Ceremonies. This is a great Mother’s Day gift for your favorite mother.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $15 for children (3-10 years), or $20 each for a group of 10 or more. The 100-plus member Towne Singers is a non-auditioned community chorus based in La Cañada Flintridge. Founded in 1987 by Phyllis Winnaman, the chorus has grown to become a well-known source of entertainment.
