The Flintridge La Cañada Guild of Huntington Memorial Hospital recently presented the 96th annual Flintridge Horse Show at the Flintridge Riding Club. The 16th annual Tasting Event, sponsored by Allen Lund Co., also took place and featured tacos and tequila, as well as wine and beer tastings provided by Rosso Wine Shop.
Both events were open to the public and well-attended by Guild members, their families, friends and the surrounding community. Guests enjoyed the silent auction with more than 60 tempting items, including a Napa Valley travel experience, a Broadway show extravaganza, an electric guitar signed by the Eagles and tickets to see Lady Gaga.
The next evening, a ringside dinner catered by the Kitchen for Exploring Foods showcased the $15,000 Grand Prix of Flintridge sponsored by Land Rover of Pasadena, with live entertainment by the Dad Beats.
All horse show event proceeds benefit the Huntington Hospital Stroke Center. Beginning in 2016, the Guild made a two-year pledge of $100,000, providing Huntington Hospital with support for its Stroke Care project. The Guild is now in the second year of that pledge and working toward the last $50,000 donation. This year’s horse show chairs were Debra Turner and Allison Regan; the president of the Guild is Jenny Stern.
