Multiple Arrests Related to Burglaries

A burglary suspect was arrested early Monday outside of the Wingstop restaurant in the 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard, authorities said.
According to Crescenta Valley Sheriff Sgt. Alan Chu, a deputy was driving past the location at about 1:55 a.m. when he spotted the suspect — a 19-year-old from Long Beach — peering into the restaurant’s window. When the deputy turned around to investigate the suspect, four other suspects fled on foot. They were wearing hoods and dark clothing that made them difficult to identify, Chu said.
Although a containment was set up with the assistance of personnel from the Altadena Sheriff’s Station, the Glendale Police Department and canine and aerial units, the other suspects remain at-large, Chu said, adding that investigators are working some good leads.
Two other men — a 27-year-old from Tujunga and a 35-year-old from Burbank — were apprehended later Monday morning, at about 5 a.m., in the shopping center near Wingstop and are under investigation for being in possession of stolen property, but Chu said they are not tied to the break-in at Wingstop, which had been burglarized another time recently.
