LCPC Hosting Talk Regarding Bullying

Patricia A Engert

All parents and grandparents are invited to hear from Patricia A. Engert in the Fellowship Hall of the La Canada Presbyterian Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
Being a kid today is tough and being a parent today is tougher. The presentation’s goal is to help parents when their kids report they have been teased or bullied at school by teaching them techniques for what they can do and for what they can help instill in their kids.
Engert is a licensed clinical psychologist working in private practice in South Pasadena. She divides her time between private practice and academics as an adjunct professor at Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and as an affiliate faculty member at the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she both teaches and supervises graduate students.
Growing Families is a monthly seminar-type class at the La Canada Presbyterian Church for parents and grandparents, led by a variety of people. Some are experts in the field of child development, psychology and education, while others are parents who offer to others what has worked for their families.
