Paradise Canyon Elementary School 4th-graders in Lori Arbucci and Sandra Hong’s classes prepared for their trip aboard the Pilgrim by practicing duties on the boat. They had to know how to row, work in the galley and prepare food, clean the boat, tie knots, coil rope and use a block and tackle to hoist sails.
All their practice and training came in handy once they boarded the Pilgrim.
