The annual Memorial Ceremony on Monday at Memorial Park brought together veterans, community leaders, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, local musicians and singers, and many others of the community for a solemn event honoring members of the U.S. military who didn’t make it home from combat.
“Every year, I come and every year it chokes me up,” Mayor Terry Walker said. “When you look at these wonderful veterans who are so proud, this is what it’s all about.”
