Palm Crest Elementary School’s final spirit rally wrapped up the year with awards and announcements. Abigail Chun, Ashley Dietrich and Emi Machida from Girl Scout Troop 9181 presented the school with a new garden as a gift from the troop. The iRead program encouraged students to spend time reading during the vacation break. The most prolific readers will earn an award.
First-grade teacher Wendy Senour’s retirement was announced after she’d worked at Palm Crest for 22 years and 12 years as a preschool teacher in Glendale. She was a student at PCR in the 5th and 6th grade.
Students of the Month were chosen for perseverance and self-discipline. Sixth-grade student council members helped with the rally.
