The La Cañada Junior Women’s Club is looking for new members who have a passion for fun, philanthropy and fundraising.
The club, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in May 2019, has provided assistance to local women and children in need through fundraisers, volunteer hours, auctions and more.
It looks forward to an active year with philanthropic efforts benefitting Mending Kids, which provides critical surgical care for sick children. Juniors host an annual fundraiser party to support this charity, and organize other events throughout the year, including preparing lunches every month to help people in need at Union Station in Pasadena.
The club plans to host several events for prospective members beginning on Sunday, Aug. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the Music in the Park concert. Additional meetings will be on Sept. 10 and 11.
