Palm Crest Elementary students from Debbie Au’s class recently debuted their 6th grade play with a musical production of “Matilda Jr.”
The special event usually includes 6th-graders from various schools within the La Cañada Unified School District at Lanterman auditorium; However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, each 6th grade class did their own play at their own school.
The other 6th grade teachers participating in the event were Megan Barrick, Jane Chang Hur and Amy Tsai.
“Matilda Jr.” was directed and choreographed by Daniella Castoria. Other participants included Marie Vasiliou as music director; Colleen Thatcher as accompaniment; and Jamie Abrahamian and Jennifer Wolpert as co-chairs/stage directors.
