The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation held its 29th annual Spring Gala, with the theme “Roaring Back to the ’20s,” on Saturday evening at the Millennium Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles.
Four hundred guests dressed in festive roaring ’20s attire and enjoyed a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and silent and live auctions. It marked LCFEF’s first in-person gala since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Local resident Billie Melillo received the Spirit of Outstanding Service Award for her many contributions to the city’s schools.
LCFEF President Joyce Mayne and Tracey Nelson served as the event’s co-chairs. Their committee included Gloria Cannon, Ahee Han, Yvonne Lutz, Dannie Remender, Jason Scherbert Leslie Walling, Kate Walters and Stephanie Weber.
USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, C.W. Driver Builders and Keck Medicine of USC were the premier Sustainer sponsors. La Cañada Eye Care, Finding Guidance Behavioral Services, and the Milbrodt Group were the other high-level sponsors.
