LC’s Kim, Manion Compete in Ojai Tournament

La Cañada High School’s doubles team of Luke Kim and Luke Manion competed in the 120th annual Ojai Tennis Tournament last week. The duo swept their opening match, 6-1, 6-2, before being eliminated in the round of 32 by Peninsula High of the Rolling Hills Estates, 6-7, 6-2, 5-7 later that day.
The Spartans, who finished the regular season as Rio Hondo League runners-up with a 6-2 record (9-3 overall), competed in individual league championships this week; the results were unavailable by the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue. LCHS will learn its postseason fate following the individual championships when the CIF-SS team brackets are released on Monday, May 2, at 11 a.m.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves extended their win streak to four matches after crushing host South Pasadena, 15-3, in a nonleague match on Monday. Flintridge Prep previously completed the season sweep at crosstown rival Pasadena Poly with an 11-7 Prep League victory last Thursday. The visiting Wolves also swept Duarte 18-0 in a nonleague match on Wednesday, April 20. No individual statistics were reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
Flintridge Prep (16-4 overall), ranked No. 2 in this week’s CIF-SS Division III poll, is scheduled to conclude its regular season by hosting Palos Verdes Chadwick in a league game on Friday, April 29, at 5 p.m. The CIF-SS postseason brackets being released on Monday, May 2, at 11 a.m.

ST. FRANCIS
The Golden Knights have been indie since concluding the regular season with a 14-1 loss to visiting Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City in a Mission League match on April 7.
SFHS (0-13-1 overall) competed in the individual league prelims and finals this week; the results were unavailable by the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline.
Following the individual championships, the Golden Knights will learn their playoff fate when the CIF-SS postseason brackets are released on Monday, May 2, at 11 a.m.
