LCHS, St. Francis Seasons Conclude

The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ lacrosse team concluded the regular season with a 10-3 nonleague loss at Damien High of La Verne last Friday, snapping the Spartans’ two-game win streak.
Sophomore Thomas Sorensen tallied a pair of goals and sophomore Dylan Jeffries scored once. Junior Kyle McKinney and freshman Kai Gundersen collected 17 and two saves, respectively.
LCHS finished the season with a 2-4 overall record and will look to improve in the win column next season.

ST. FRANCIS
The Golden Knights lost its CIF-SS Division I wildcard game at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach, 13-11, on Monday. SFHS (10-6 overall record) finished the regular season tied for second in the Mission League with Studio City Harvard-Westlake (5-3 records).
SFHS won its regular-season finale over visiting Simi Valley, 17-2, in a nonleague game last Wednesday. Junior Cole Jackson led with four goals and three assists, junior Jett McCullough amassed five goals and one assist, and senior Josh Jewell finished with three goals and one assist. Junior Andrew Giesler collected two goals and one assist, junior Jojo Ferguson posted one goal and one assist, and seniors Myles Shannon and Sean Escobar each scored once. Freshman Axel Gonzalez tallied three assists, while senior Jason Boutros and sophomore Jayden Siques each had one assist. Jewell and junior Donovan Sofio notched four and three saves, respectively.
The Golden Knights narrowly lost a Mission League game at St. John Bosco High of Bellflower, 12-10.
Sofio tallied 17 saves, McCullough led with three goals and three assists, and Ferguson posted two goals and three assists. Jackson collected two goals and one assist, Gonzalez scored a pair of goals and Carter Randall added one goal.
