The La Canada High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team finished their 2022 season with three games this past week.
The Spartans picked up consecutive home wins over Westridge School of Pasadena, 13-2, on last Thursday and California High of Whittier, 13-7, last Tuesday. They were defeated at Simi Valley, 17-3, last Monday.
The Spartans’ eight graduating seniors – captain Sarah Camp, captain Claire Steward, Taia Bissias, Natalie Crowell, Cici Del Rivo, Tessa Lizardi, Audrey Nappi and Carly Petersen – were honored at their last game against Westridge.
Crowell (28 goals), Camp (22 goals) and Petersen (10 goals) were the team’s leading scorers for the season.
The Spartans closed a strong inaugural season for coaches staff Jenny Ho, Katie McClure and Tim Pendergast with a 7-8 overall record (0-4 in league).
