Seth Larsen Earns Eagle Scout Honors

First published in the May 5 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

Seth “Sumo” Larsen began his Scouting experience as a 1st-grader, in Cub Scouts Den 5 at Paradise Canyon Elementary, under Jesse Cripps. He progressed to Boy Scouts, Troop 395, under the guidance of Scoutmaster Todd Reynolds.
Some of Seth’s favorite activities as a scout have been whitewater rafting, archery and overnight camping trips. For his Eagle project, he organized a dozen people to make more than 100 face shields to benefit the elderly at his family’s home church, Fellowship Monrovia.
Scouting has given Seth foundational leadership skills that he’s further developed as class president of La Cañada High School for 9th grade (and will again serve as president in 10th grade) and through the AAPI Social Justice Initiative Club formed with his older brothers Daylen and Kai. He enjoys pingpong, guitar and piano, working out and playing baseball for LCHS as a pitcher and catcher.
