We met Kim Bowman shortly after he and his family moved to La Cañada Flintridge, and recently hosted a meet and greet for him at our home. While we were expecting to vote for him before the meeting, his presence and passion planted us even more firmly in his camp. He is a terrific communicator and speaks with ardor and compassion about the issues facing our town and the people who live here.
A fierce advocate for older adults, Bowman has a master’s degree in gerontology, as well as an MBA and a law degree. Bowman has made public service a priority in his life. He is a La Cañada Flintridge Parks and Recreation commissioner, has organized the La Cañada Flintridge Welcome Association, and is president of the Los Angeles County Commission for Older Adults.
Bowman and his wife, Cynthia, and their young child are committed to living and thriving in our community. He will provide a burst of new energy and a fresh perspective on ways to make our town even better.
We are voting for Kim Bowman for City Council and urge you to do so too. He can make a difference.

I attended a meet and greet with Kim Bowman a couple of weeks ago.
I came away so impressed with his passion, his extensive experience and knowledge in so many areas, from disaster response, to gerontology, to his forward-thinking ideas for La Cañada, that I have since co-hosted two events with fellow neighbors that also are huge supporters.
With Kim Bowman, I see a man that is honest, honorable, dedicated and transparent. He has a wonderful and clear-sighted vision for the future of our town and understands the importance of implementing that vision with eyes wide open, as well as listening to all of us, as our representative. He has stressed repeatedly that it truly is his commitment, to serve each and every person of our community, from young families to our senior citizens.
What really impressed me and my husband was his realistic view of what needs to be done now in order to be prepared for later. He understands the importance of laying a strong foundation so that we can all be as prepared as we can be, for whatever is to come. Not only does he understand this, he also has the tools and knowledge to help get us through it. These last two years have shown us how unpredictable the world is and the necessity of having a levelheaded, pragmatic leader at the helm. We feel Kim Bowman is the perfect candidate to help guide this community toward the future.

I write today in support of Kim Bowman for La Cañada Flintridge City Council. La Cañada tends to be a place where families come for the exceptional schools and continue to enjoy the community while aging in place.
We live in one of the most stable communities in Los Angeles County, which means we have an aging population which will require particular attention as it continues to grow over the next 20 years. A senior center and walkable streets are some of the many solutions proposed by Bowman to help build a community for all. Bowman is the only candidate that has the experience and background to address the issues related to an aging population.
Bowman holds a master’s degree in gerontology from USC and serves as president of the Los Angeles County Commission for Older Adults. Bowman is someone who has already proven his dedication to La Cañada with his work on our Parks and Recreations commission.
I urge you to support Bowman as a candidate with a forward thinking vision and proven track record of service to our community.
