Community Gathers for Interfaith Baccalaureate Service

The annual Interfaith Baccalaureate Service was recently held at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church.
Christie Frandsen, baccalaureate committee chair, and Monsignor Antonio Cacciapuoti of St. Bede welcomed guests to the event, where La Cañada High School Principal Jim Cartnal gave opening remarks and the scripture was read by Kyra Aitelli, Tess Alexander, Shahzareh Ali and Devyn Oh.
The keynote address was given by Jessica Gerhardt. In her address, she integrated one of her many talents: playing the violin.
Students also shared testimonies, those participating were Tess Alexander from Temple Sinai of Glendale, Shahzareh Ali Islamic Congregation of LCF, Gabriel Gottheim of St. Bede, Jenna Milbrodt of La Cañada Presbyterian Church and Ty Reynolds of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Christie Frandsen shared her wisdom with graduates in her closing remarks, and the benedictions were given by the Rev. Kyle Sears, senior pastor at the La Cañada Congregational Church.
