The La Cañada High School varsity baseball team had three players selected to the All-Rio Hondo League team, with the highest honors going to senior infielder Adam Geller and senior outfielder Ryan Kiessling who each made the first team. Meanwhile, junior outfielder Ethan Geller earned a second-team selection.
Adam Geller led the Spartans in runs (28), hits (27) and doubles (six) while tying the team lead in triples (one) and home runs (two). He posted a .333 batting average and a .913 OPS in 22 games.
Kiessling had a fine season at the dish, posting a .292 batting average and .863 OPS with 14 runs, 12 RBIs and five doubles.
Ethan Geller did well at the plate this season, recording a .295 batting average with 15 runs and four RBIs.
