A commercial burglary occurred in the 800 block of Foothill Boulevard on July 28, but no items were taken.
The owner of the business told deputies that he arrived at work at approximately 8:05 a.m. on July 28 and saw the attic drywall was damaged and that the security alarm panel was tampered with.
The victim added that he had received a call from the alarm company notifying him that the alarm had been activated. He looked at a live feed of the surveillance cameras and didn’t see anyone and requested that the alarm company not call law enforcement.
Sheriff’s deputies reviewed the footage and saw that pieces of drywall began to fall at 1:15 a.m. and a hand wearing a glove was seen reaching through the attic to open the panel door of the security alarm.
The suspect was not visible but deputies contacted another officer to take fingerprints.

A resident living in the 5000 block of Princess Anne Road was the victim of a burglary while she was home on July 28.
The victim heard glass breaking at approximately 10:40 p.m. and got out of bed to investigate the noise. She saw a light from a flashlight coming from the office next to her bedroom and saw a 6-foot, medium-built white male wearing a light blue T-shirt with white writing attempting to open a closet door. The suspect saw the victim and ran back into the office without saying a word, and the victim ran back into her bedroom and closed the door and called for help.
The office was ransacked and the victim likely broke the window using a brick, which was found on the floor.

An attempted burglary occurred in the 700 block of Forest Green Drive while the resident was home on July 28.
The victim told deputies that she had observed her dogs barking toward the rear door at approximately 10:30 p.m. and shortly thereafter went to bed.
At approximately 11 p.m., she heard three loud thumps from the first floor and walked downstairs to investigate the noise. She noticed the rear glass door had been shattered and immediately ran upstairs to her son’s bedroom and called 911.
The deputy who responded to the call observed large rocks near the door in the interior and exterior of the residence.
No items were reported to have been stolen.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a call of a reported burglary in the 4800 block of Vineta Avenue on July 29.
According to the daughter of the victim, the housekeeper arrived at the home on July 29 at approximately 7 p.m. and found a window from a bedroom door shattered and the house burglarized. The homeowner was away on vacation at the time of the burglary.
Deputies entered the home and saw hallway cabinets, the bedroom dresser and drawers and closet had been ransacked.
The suspect possibly entered the home using a rock to break the bedroom window.
