An unidentified man was reported to have tried to steal money from a woman in the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard at 5:41 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, right after she’d withdrawn money from a bank ATM. The man was reported to have aggressively grabbed her arm and then ran off after she screamed, and he was seen driving away in a burgundy SUV onto Gould Avenue and then the 210 Freeway. The assailant was described as a man wearing a yellow hat, dark glasses, a black mask, a gray sweater and black pants.

Money was reported stolen from a business in the 2200 block of Foothill Boulevard that was burglarized at 2:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, after an intruder used a concrete block to shatter a front window.


A home in the 4700 block of Hillard Avenue was reported to have been burglarized after an intruder shattered a back window sometime from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3. The intruder also damaged the siren for the home’s burglar alarm.

A resident in the 4700 block of Hillard Avenue reported discovering that her identity was compromised after an unsolicited debit card for a fraudulent bank account was recently mailed to her home.
