Deputies from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a call of reported petty theft in the 4300 block of Fairlawn Drive at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17. The victim told deputies her trashcans were stolen while she was on vacation. Sometime between Aug. 7 and Aug. 16, two green trashcans and one brown recycling bin were stolen from the side yard of the home, just beyond an unlocked gate. Waste services confirmed that they had not picked up the trash cans for a replacement. No suspect has been identified.

A resident living in the 1000 block of Fairview Drive was the victim of petty theft sometime between 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 7:30 p.m. on Aug 19.

At 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 18, a victim parked her car on the street in front of her residence. She returned to her vehicle the next morning to find missing hubcaps on the driver’s side of her vehicle. The victim told deputies that she believed the offenders did not take the passenger side hubcaps due to the presence of a street-facing security camera. No suspect has been identified.

A mailbox on the 200 block of Saint Katherine Drive was vandalized at about 5:49 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. The suspect, who is unknown, exited the passenger side of a dark vehicle shortly after arriving at the home. The suspect used a tool to pry the mailbox open before finding it empty. Officers arrived three hours later at 8:46 p.m. and observed video footage of the vehicle arriving to the home. After interviewing the victim, deputies were told the suspect could be someone who mistakenly has mail sent to the residence.
