Welcome back, Spartan families! The La Canada Spartan Boosters is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds that support extracurricular activities, sports and academic programs that enrich the lives of our students in grades 7-12.
Last year we raised over $200,000. We hosted our in-person Boosterfest fundraiser at the Oakmont Country Club last November, featuring dinner, music and live and silent auctions. The casual and fun atmosphere that defines Boosters was back in action, all while raising funds and support for our kids’ activities. We look forward to seeing you all this Nov. 5 at Oakmont again.
Our donations have improved facilities, supported more than 60 programs including band, choral music, theatre arts, the culinary program and athletics. For our student-athletes, the Boosters Club also provides access to an athletic trainer, a fitness center, and we fund the Positive Coaching Alliance. Other items we funded this year included new lacrosse helmets, basketball floor sweeps, free CPR training for 100 coaches, a wrestling mat mover and new mats, and new girls’ volleyball nets.
Booster members can receive free passes to home football and basketball games and can direct a portion of their donation to specific teams and programs. At higher membership levels, donors receive tickets to the all-school musical, free tickets to our annual Boosterfest party and can direct even greater portions of their donation to the specific teams, programs and clubs.
