La Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a petty theft call at a yoga studio that occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at about 7:30 p.m. While the victim attended a yoga class at a business on Foothill Boulevard, a suspect opened the woman’s locker, gaining access to her purse and a credit card. She realized the credit card was missing Sept. 2 when the card was charged at a Tarzana jewelry store.

A vehicle parked at Cherry Canyon trail on the 4100 block of Hampstead Road was burglarized last Tuesday, Sept. 6, at about 4 p.m. The victim was hiking when suspects shattered his front passenger window and stole items from the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a report of grand theft on the 600 block of Foothill Boulevard on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 8:53 p.m. A customer reported that two male suspects walked out of a designer clothing store with six purses and more than one pair of Gucci shoes. The suspects cut the security wire of the display merchandise before fleeing the scene. Video footage of the incident was recorded and provided to deputies, who will review it as evidence in their investigation.

A woman requested service from the sheriff’s department after discovering that her daughter was receiving illegal deliveries of electronic cigarettes to their home on the 5600 block of Stardust Road at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7. When deputies arrived, she stated that vape pens would be left in her mailbox by an unknown man for her daughter, who is a minor, in exchange for cash. The victim provided deputies with the suspect’s name and contact information for further action.

A man contacted deputies regarding a vandalism report after an unknown suspect broke into a locked communal mailbox at his property at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, on the 4500 block of Castle Road. Deputies noted evidence of damage to the locking mechanisms of the mailbox was done using burglary tools to steal mail.
