It was recently standing room only at Paradise Canyon Elementary School’s Reading Night.
Parents and students came and cozied up to hear parent and author Bhajneet Singh read his newest book, “The Surfing Lesson.” The students were also delighted to hear the author was also a Cougar alumni and he had been in the library many times with his class and teachers.
“The Surfing Lesson” is Singh’s third book. He is also the founder of Brave Lions Books, a nonprofit organization that focuses on diversity in literature.
Students closed the evening with a treat: cookies and milk.
