Flintridge Prep Posts League Win Over Windward

The Flintridge Prep varsity football team routed visiting Windward High of Los Angeles, 43-7, to collect its first Prep League victory last Friday.
Sophomore Aj Carre rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns on six carries while adding a pair of tackles on defense. Noah Willingham rushed for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on eight attempts. Freshman Will Grable caught a 41-yard pass for a touchdown and made 10 tackles on defense, while senior Luke Chapman scored on a 5-yard reception.
Senior Jack Jones completed 4-of-4 passes for 57 yards and a pair of touchdowns while rushing for 13 yards on two attempts.
Senior Luca Yeghnazar rushed for 30 yards on two carries and made a 10-yard catch, freshman Nathan Sanok rushed for 28 yards on eight attempts, and junior Alex Chorba rushed for 18 yards on three carries. Freshman Owen Willingham rushed for 5 yards on one attempt, while Calvin Chen made a 1-yard catch.
Senior Griffin Theis and sophomore John Battaglia each registered five tackles, while freshman Mac Peutet finished with four tackles. Seniors Sam Symington, Teddy Gould, Oscar Yum and Peter Peutet each had three tackles, while senior EQ Willis, junior Kevin Zhang, sophomore Will Jamison and sophomore Miles Yum each made one tackle.
The Wolves (5-1 overall, 1-1 in league) will conclude the regular season with a league game at Palos Verdes Chadwick on Friday, Oct. 28, at 2:30 p.m. The CIF-SS eight-man playoff bracket will be released on Monday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m.
