The Flintridge Prep varsity football team edged visiting Valley Christian Academy of Santa Maria, 27-25, in the first round of the CIF-SS eight-man Division I playoffs last Friday.
Senior Luca Yeghnezar rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries for the Wolves, while junior Noah Willingham rushed for 59 yards and one touchdown on four carries.
Junior Alex Chorba completed five passes for 24 yards, while senior Jack Jones completed a pair of passes for 14 yards.
The Wolves (6-2 overall) advance to the semifinals and will play at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside (10-0 overall) on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m.
