The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory recently celebrated Halloween with a big bash.
At the event, vampires, Batmen, lady bugs, Hulks and mermaids joined forces with princesses, Spider-Men, witches and creepy skeletons to parade proudly before friends and family, while stopping to entertain all in attendance with a seasonal song and recitation.
“Each class sang a Halloween favorite,” said TLC music teacher Kris Maitlen. “We sang “Grow Orange Pumpkins,” “The Witch Rides Her Broom” and “On Halloween Night,” among others. The kids were great, and I think the parents really loved it.”
Students also recited Halloween-themed poems.
“I think this is definitely our student body’s favorite holiday,” added TLC/LCP Director, Terry Villanueva.
The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory are private schools providing individualized curriculum for 4-year-olds through 8th-graders and located on the site of the former FIS campus at 4490 Cornishon Ave. in La Cañada. For more information, visit thelearningcastle.com.
