Lutheran Church Begins Online Wednesday Services

First published in the Dec. 1 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

The season of Advent has arrived and with it a way to worship from home on Wednesday evenings.
Pastor Chuck Bunnell will broadcast a weekly online service at 7 p.m., each Wednesday until Christmas, on the church’s YouTube channel. Sunday Advent services are held in person as well as online beginning at 10 a.m.
From the Latin word “coming,” Advent is a time when Christians begin the liturgical year with preparation for the celebration of Christmas and anticipation of the second coming of Christ.
In addition to Advent worship services, LCIF offers a family devotional time from 8:45-9:15 a.m. on Sundays in the church’s conference room. All are welcome.
Children’s Church is offered every Sunday for young children, and Confirmation class is available after worship service, beginning at 11:15 a.m. for students in grades 6-12.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951.
The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
