Local Teams Entering League Action

The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ soccer team lost a nonleague game at Westlake High in Westlake Village, 6-1, last Friday. The Spartans previously lost a nonleague matchup against visiting Mountain View High of El Monte, 3-2. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
LCHS (1-6 overall) will open Rio Hondo League action at Blair High in Pasadena on Friday, Jan. 6, at 3:30 p.m.

ST. FRANCIS

The Golden Knights finished with a scoreless draw at Palos Verdes in a nonleague game last Friday, as freshman Rome Strongin racked up six saves to preserve the shutout.
SFHS previously lost a nonleague game against visiting Cathedral High of Los Angeles, 4-1, last Wednesday, as junior Luke Wyatt scored on an assist by junior Alex Lopez.
St. Francis (1-2-1 overall) will host rival Loyola High of Los Angeles in a Mission League matchup on Friday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m.

FLINTRIDGE PREP

The Wolves tied host Palos Verdes Chadwick, 1-1, in their Prep League opener last Friday, as senior EQ Willis scored a free kick.
Flintridge Prep (1-2-1 overall, 0-0-1 in league) will visit Maranatha High in Pasadena for a nonleague game on Friday, Dec. 16, at 5:30 p.m.
