USC Verdugo Hills Hospital recently celebrated 50 years of caring for the community with a special anniversary party.
Verdugo Hills Hospital originally opened its doors in December 1972 to serve residents living in the Foothills who couldn’t quickly get to surrounding hospitals prior to the construction of the 2 and 210 freeways.
Fifty years later, USC VHH still serves the healthcare needs of the local community as part of the Keck Medicine of USC family – bringing world-class healthcare, close to home.
Former medical staff, longtime employees and past and present hospital leaders were in attendance — some of whom were part of the hospital’s inception.
Dr. Armand Dorian is the hospital’s CEO, and the event’s honorary co-chairs were Dottie Longo and Dr. William Schubert.
