Parents, staff and students of The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory recently came out in droves to support their annual Book Fair and Art Show at The Americana’s Barnes and Noble in Glendale.
Attendees viewed more than 400 student art projects that adorned the 2nd-floor walls of the Barnes and Noble Bookstore and were treated to a reading by Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
The theme of this year’s art show was “World Geography” for transitional kindergarten through the 3rd grade, and the works of Piet Mondrian for 4th through 8th grade.
Under the expert guidance of art instructors, Christine Michael and Emma Kuper, every student produced a memorable piece of artwork or sculpture for the exhibition.
The Learning Castle and La Cañada Preparatory are private schools for 4 years of age through 8th-graders located on the site of the former FIS campus at 4490 Cornishon Ave. in La Cañada Flintridge.
