La Cañada High School students recently performed in a holiday concert at the first Methodist church of Pasadena.
Dr. Jeff Brookey was the conductor and Amanda Svetich was the 7/8 Treble Choir conductor. A variety of choir ensembles, solos, duets and trios were featured.
One highlight was the Men’s Ensemble with Dr. Jeff Brookey singing “Santa Baby.” Anna Pacino and Ari Tujian brought back “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” an annual favorite.
The concert concluded with “Silent Night,” and the audience was invited to sing along on the third verse.
Student instrumentalists who added to the concert production was Mia Macias, Elizabeth and Victoria Pak, Victoria Chen, Srijani Bhattacharya, Adam Kakuk, Rachel Salit, Micah Ruan, Henry Dearborn, Johathan Woodruff, Sebastian Yu, William Dearborn and Pierce Lee, with special guest Marion Kuszyk on oboe.
