A minor girl left her electric scooter unattended outside of her residence in the 5200 block of Angeles Crest Highway at about 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 22. She returned about one minute later to find that the scooter was missing. Her father contacted deputies, telling them that his daughter witnessed an unknown suspect taking her scooter without permission.

Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of grand theft after a man noticed his catalytic converter missing from his vehicle, which was parked in the 4500 block of Cypress Drive. Surveillance footage taken from the scene allegedly showed a man using a battery powered saw to remove the part from the victim’s vehicle at about 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 23, before fleeing in a gray SUV with two accomplices.

A business in the 800 block of Foothill Boulevard was burglarized at about 5 p.m. on Dec. 23. The suspect, a boy believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, allegedly entered the retail store accompanied by two boys of similar age. The second and third suspect allegedly acted as a distraction, engaging with store employees while the first suspect stole an Apple iPhone from a display table. The three fled on foot before law enforcement arrived.
