La Cañada Elementary School 4th-graders in Cory Pak’s class recently combined their studies of the California missions with math.
The selected a favorite mission and made a fraction poster of it. They did this by scaling the dimensions to sixteenths.
Students first drew a straight line at the bottom and placed the mission, the river, nearby trees, the coast, the plaza and surrounding mountains at three sixteenth intervals.
