Lutheran Church Plans 75th Anniversary Celebration

First published in the Feb. 2 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.

Lutheran Church in the Foothills is celebrating history this month, with its 75th anniversary to be recognized on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m.
A lunch will follow the celebration in the church’s Fellowship Hall.
Pastor Chuck Bunnell said the celebration of LCIF’s 75 years is a homecoming for members past and present, and a great opportunity for newcomers to check out what the church has to offer.
The church was formally organized in 1948. It all started with services at the American Legion Hall in Verdugo City. LCIF has been at its current home in La Cañada Flintridge for more than 50 years.
All are invited to attend LCIF services each Sunday at 10 a.m., in person or livestreamed on the church’s YouTube channel.
Children’s Church is offered every Sunday for young children, and confirmation class is available after worship service, beginning at 11:15 a.m. for students in grades 6-12.
