La Cañada Elementary 1st -grade teachers and students recently enjoyed a day away at Descanso Gardens.
They were very happy to finally able to take this fieldtrip after three years of waiting. They walked from the school to the gardens, where students were given a little work to do: a scavenger hunt, an animal observation and a turtle walk.
The adventure-filled day came to an end with the children eating lunch at the picnic tables just outside of the venue and having the opportunity to revisit the gardens before returning to campus.
