The 111th installation and Awards Gala was recently held at the Oakmount Country Club. Mayor Keith Eich emceed the event, with chairman Michael Leininger welcoming attendees and Nancy Leininger giving a message of inspiration.
The evening acknowledged milestones of local businesses and community groups, including Oakmont Country Club, Flintridge Prep, Noon Kiwanis Club, La Cañada Presbyterian Church and Lutheran Church of the Foothills, Descanso Gardens and YMCA of the Foothills.
Royal Court Adviser Katherine Markgraf presented both the 2022 and 2023 courts. Miss La Cañada Flintridge 2022 Erin Carney shared remarks at the event, with one of the highlights of the evening being the crowning of new Miss LCF Hannah Kiang.
Another highlight was Superintendent Wendy Sinnette talking about the Summer Intern Scholarship Program, marking its 10-year anniversary. Sinnette introduced the five interns that participated, including top intern Kera Finnigan.
Manny Mashhoud was named Business Owner of the Year, along with Alan Pezeshkian as Businessman of the Year and Jamie Lewsadder as Educator of the Year. Other honors included the Mayor Keith Eich receiving the Community Spirit Award, board member Caroline Anderson receiving the Community Service Award and a special recognition received by Susan Koleda.
Lastly, this year’s officers for the chamber were called forward and sworn in.
