Paradise Canyon Elementary was all about reading as classes participated in the recent Read Across America Day festivities, with various classes taking on fun activities.
The 1st-graders in Pam Watt’s class enjoyed a Reading Café theme for the special day. With tables arranged as if they were in a café and students dressed in aprons, the class enjoyed sampling different books as guest readers came to read to them.
In Brittany Bridgman’s class, the 1st-graders brought in their favorite book and stuffed animal to read together.
Second-graders in Julie Perdisatt’s class read “Horton Hears a Who” and discussed the elements of the story. They also made the main character, Horton, out of paper.
