Lutheran Church Offers Soup, Worship Service

Lutheran Church in the Foothills welcomes all to enjoy a hearty soup supper each Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall. A worship service follows at 7 p.m.
The Lenten soup suppers will continue on Wednesdays through March 29. Lent is a 40-day period during which Christians remember the events leading up to and including the death of Jesus Christ. It is a time of reflection and of asking for forgiveness. Ultimately, it is a preparation to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, celebrated at Easter.
During this season, LCIF is continuing its food drive to feed the hungry. Canned goods can be dropped off during Wednesday evening and Sunday morning church services, or anytime during the week at the church office.
LCIF also reminds everyone that Children’s Church is offered every Sunday for young children, and Confirmation class is available as well.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request or offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office Hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday.
