La Cañada Presbyterian Church has a long tradition of going on retreats, including annual weekend Women’s Retreats and Men’s Retreats that are designed for fun and fellowship, as well as an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be followers of Jesus.
These weekends are set aside to be a time apart, away from the usual work and worries of the week, to focus on rest, togetherness, faith and prayer.
The retreats offered by LCPC are inspired by the Gospel stories of Jesus getting away from the crowds to go to a mountain, sometimes alone and sometimes with a few friends, to rest and pray.
This year’s Women’s Retreat is scheduled for April 28-30 at San Pedro Harbor. The Men’s Retreat is set for May 5-7 at a Golf Club in Oxnard.
The community is invited to register. Registration for the Women’s Retreat and the Men’s Retreat closes April 10 and April 20, respectively.
