Sheriff’s Crime Log

A vendor reported a grand theft of vintage jewelry and a case at the Saturday Farmers Market in the 1300 block of Foothill Boulevard on May 6 between noon and 12:40 p.m. The vendor saw a man and woman approach her tent and asked her what her most expensive items were. She then pointed at a gray plastic and glass-encased jewelry display case containing about 40 pieces of jewelry. The pair eventually left the tent but approached the case multiple times since initially being shown the case 40 minutes prior and asked an assistant about it. After helping customers, the vendor discovered the case to be missing. Other vendors and customers did not see anyone take the case. The man was described as being about 30 years old, 5-foot-1 inches tall, 200 pounds with dark short hair and wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans. The woman was described as being the same age and height of the man, 180 pounds with long dark hair and wearing a gray T-shirt.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a grand theft report involving a stolen bicycle and camping items that were taken from the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Lamour Drive on May 4 between 4:25 and 4:50 p.m. The neon green touring bicycle was discovered missing by the owner after returning home and finding his helmet on the ground. Additional items that were reported stolen from the residence included a travel size bicycle pump, two black nylon saddle bags, black nylon equipment bags with miscellaneous tools, a green plastic water bottle, a blue polyethylene tarp, a foldable aluminum folding camping chair, a folding white plastic camping table and miscellaneous camping tools.
