The Flintridge Prep varsity baseball team was shut out at Long Beach Poly, 1-0, in an eight-inning CIF-Southern Section Division III second-round matchup on last Tuesday.
Prep sophomore Rowan Schaeffer, who had a double, pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
Freshman Will Grable went 2-for-4 while senior captains John Kully, Graham DesHotel and Max Brunngraber each had base a hit.
The Wolves concluded the season as Prep League champions with a 10-2 record (18-8 overall).
