LCHS Equestrian Club Concludes 2022-23 Season

The La Cañada High School Equestrian Club held its final meeting and awards ceremony at Los Gringos Locos recently. Trophies, varsity letters, medals and pins were distributed to all members.
The club sent several riders to compete for LCHS at the four Interscholastic Equestrian League competitions held throughout the year. The team finished in fifth place for overall school points out of over 70 Southern California private and public schools.
Senior rider Riley Thornburgh ended the season as the IEL overall jumper champion and Varsity Division champion rider. The team high-point rider honorees were Ava Strauss (jumper), Thornburgh (jumper) and Stella Tinsley (hunter/equitation).
Meanwhile, the upcoming season’s 2023-24 Equestrian Club officers were announced – Elle Rohs (president), Kaylee Thornburgh (vice president), Ava Strauss (secretary) and Olivia Cha (treasurer).
