The 2023 La Cañada Commemoration Team organized this year’s Memorial Day service to remember those that died serving our country on May 29 at Memorial Park.
Among the performers were Ashley Dietrich, who emceed the event and gave heartfelt renditions of “Requiem for a Soldier” and “Falling Embers.”
Additionally, a 48-start-flag, which flew at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, was held during the event’s Pledge of Allegiance, which was assisted by children and the Daughters of the Revolution. Prayer was led by Andrew Eich, the team chaplain.
