St. Francis High School had 155 young men from the Class of 2023 graduate on May 27.
Surrounded by their families and friends on a beautiful spring day, these young men received their diplomas.
The Rev. Joseph Seraphin Dederick of the Western American Province of the Capuchin Franciscan Order represented Bishop José Gómez, archbishop of Los Angeles, at the ceremony. SFHS President the Rev. Tony Marti, Principal Tom Moran, Chairman of the Board of Directors Mark Heydorff and the Rev. Matt Elshoff of St. Lawrence of Brindisi officiated the 74th annual commencement exercises for the local Catholic college preparatory institution. Tracy Traver, the dean of studies, served as the emcee.
Noe Barraza led the national anthem, Marti gave the invocation and presented the scholastic awards, and senior class President Matthew Martellino welcomed those in attendance.
