The Hillside School Honors Class of 2023

The Hillside School and Learning Center held its annual graduation and promotion ceremony on the school patio on May 26.
It was a long-awaited moment to recognize Hillside’s graduating high school seniors and promote the 8th grade students.
Students, families, friends, teachers and staff came together as a group to celebrate the individual successes of each student. Ebenezer Campo, a Hillside senior, gave a speech to his fellow students, sharing some words by Sir Gawain, a King Arthur knight. Campo was also a recipient of a scholarship from the Kiwanis Club of La Crescenta-La Cañada AM.
“I’m so proud of each student for overcoming their individual challenges,” said Cyndi Hatcher, the executive director of Hillside. “I want them to remember that although we all have our differences and are individuals, we all share the human experience. We all have a lot more in common than we have differences. This will help them carry compassion and care into our world.”
