LCPC Hosts Blood Drive Sept. 22

The La Cañada Presbyterian Church will be hosting a blood drive in the Burcham Hall on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There is a severe shortage of blood. Donors are urged to give now to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients. Hospital demand continues to outpace donations. The Red Cross has a continual need for blood donations as blood units must to be used within 42 days.
Those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine will be required to provide the name of the manufacturer at the time of their donation.
The Red Cross suggests blood donors to arrive to LCPC five minutes prior to your appointment time to line up. Individuals will also need to provide photo ID on the day of the event in order to give blood.
To expedite the blood donation process, donors can fill out a RapidPass form the day of the blood drive prior to your appointment by going online to redcrossblood.org/rapidpass.
Appointments may be made by visiting redcrossblood.org and using sponsor code: lacanadapreschurch, or by using the Red Cross mobile donor app. Walk-ins are welcome.
