LCPC Presents Big Band Jazz Vespers on Feb. 27
The Jack Lantz Big Band will present a celebration-themed Jazz Vespers at the La Cañada Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m.
This event will be in person in the LCPC sanctuary. In addition, the performances will be livestreamed at live.lacanadapc.org.
The program will feature the 16-piece Jack Lantz Big Band consisting of five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones and rhythm section (piano, bass and drums) improvising on a wide range of familiar sacred tunes and gospel music in “Big Band style.”
“This Sunday is the opportunity for people to have fun, to worship, to celebrate and do all those fun things they like to do with Big Band swing music,” Lantz said.
The hourlong event is free of charge and no reservations are required. La Cañada Presbyterian Church is located at 626 Foothill Blvd.
