Young & Healthy Gala Is Set for Feb. 4

Young & Healthy, a community-based nonprofit that provides access to medical, dental, mental health, and other health services free-of-charge to uninsured and underinsured low-income children, announces that its 2023 benefit Gala will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Los Angeles Zoo.
The gala’s theme, “Something Tells Me It’s All Happening at the Zoo,” is sure to be a wild evening with dinner, dancing and a live auction. The occasion will also honor authors Tina Payne Bryson and Daniel Siegel, as well as the Helen and Will Webster Foundation with the J. Donald Thomas Award. This award is given to those whose dedication, perseverance, and selfless devotion to the wellbeing of children exemplifies the spirit that led to the founding of Young & Healthy more than 32 years ago.
Founded in 1990, Young & Healthy was born from a community need to improve quality of life for children in the Pasadena area. The result is a human-scale solution to a large-scale problem: people helping people; and health professionals sharing their time, skills and resources with children whose families would otherwise be unable to access that care.
The 2023 Gala will help raise funds to continue Young & Healthy’s mission and ensure that all children have equitable access to quality medical care. All proceeds will benefit Young & Healthy, a 501(c)(3) organization.
